Enrich Compost
Convenient & Equitable Composting in RVA.
Located in Richmond, VA.
Enrich Compost is a compost collection company based in Richmond, Virginia. Their mission is to reduce the levels of greenhouse gas produced by diverting food from landfills. They aim to educate people about food waste and keeping carbon in the ground by creating compost. They have a mutual aid based sliding scale pricing system. This system is three tiers; Tier 1 is the higher end for those, "who are comfortably able to meet their basic needs, and have expendable income," Tier 2 is the middle tier for those, "who are able to meet their basic needs, and have some expendable income," Tier 3 is the lowest tier and is for those, "who are unable to or struggle to meet their basic needs, and have little to no expendable income." Enrich Compost believes Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color are owed reparations and encourages BIPOC to choose Tier 3 when signing up.
